About the event

Rounding is a Vedic meditation tradition which consists of a sequence of yoga asana (stretches/poses), pranayama (breathwork), meditation and savasana (rest). The sequence is called a ‘round’ - it calms and stabilizes the nervous system and puts the body and mind in a deep state of rest, promoting healing and speeding up the stress release process. Multiple rounds are completed/repeated to deepen the experience and expose multiple layers of your meditation practice. Short, silent breaks are taken between rounds. The simplicity and efficiency of the techniques performed in this way produce powerful results. The energy of a group round is beautiful, serene and incredibly healing.

This practice is typically meant for those who practice Transcendental Meditation, Vedic Meditation, Himalayan Meditation or any mantra-transcending practice. However, this event is open to everyone. If you have not been assigned a mantra, you will receive a universal one to use. Knowledge and experience in yoga asana is not required, the movements are simple and basic. Experience in meditation is preferred as this is meant to be an advanced meditative practice, and your experience will be deeper if you are a consistent meditator.

We will practice 3 rounds with short, silent breaks in between. Props will be available but if you’d like to bring your own, a yoga mat, meditation cushion, blanket and pillow to keep you as comfortable as possible would be nice.

This practice has no contraindications, but if you are pregnant, please message Haley before the event.
